Preschool Coordinator

I. Position Summary 

The Preschool Coordinator at Renovation Church will be responsible for working with volunteers, staff and other sources in coordinating and supporting volunteerism in Reno City in keeping with the overall purpose, vision and values of Renovation Church. Specifically, the Preschool Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing volunteers and ensuring our RenoCity (birth-preschool) environment operates at the highest quality each week.

II. Scope of Responsibility:

1. Assist the Children’s Ministry Director in coordinating the volunteer development initiatives for Reno City by:1. Assist the Children’s Ministry Director in coordinating the volunteer development initiatives for Reno City by:

1. Developing and executing systems for recruitment of Reno City Volunteers
2. Assist in developing and executing training plans for Reno City Volunteers
3. Executing a clear vision, scope and sequence as well as a method for tracking the personal and volunteer development of volunteers in Reno City
4. Coordinating and empowering a leadership team – a dedicated team of volunteers whom leadership tasks such as training and supervising can be delegated – to assist with Reno City Volunteer development

2. Be responsible for scheduling all Reno City Teams by:
1. Coordinating and scheduling Sunday coverage for Reno City services
2. Checking Coverage and meeting needs on Sundays
3. Cover Reno City Family Check in and New Family desk
4. Keep classrooms within Ratios and capacities, making necessary adjustments/decisions as needed
5. Regularly communicating with Reno City Volunteer teams
6. Planning, coordinating and handling any other administrative tasks/logistics necessary for Reno City operations.

3. Coordinate the volunteer care initiatives for Reno City by:
1. Executing a system of processes and policies for evaluating and celebrating volunteers in Reno City
2. Devoting time weekly to volunteer appreciation
3. Visiting with volunteers in need

4. Be responsible for all Reno City volunteer processing and tracking by:
1. Managing “New Reno City Volunteer” Process Queue
2. Coordinating with the Ministry Teams Director for volunteer recruitment initiatives
3. Keeping volunteer groups in CCB Up to date and organized
4. Communicating with volunteers about weekly curriculum and event information
5. Managing any other necessary volunteer data management platforms 

5. Collaborate with other staff members on training and developing volunteers to develop consistency with the training happening with other Childrens and Family Ministry teams.

6. Managing all other necessary platforms associated with executing Reno City Sunday Environments to the highest level.

III. Leadership

The preschool coordinator will report to the Children’s Ministry Director.

IV . Qualifications

1. Must have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. Must demonstrate a value of and naturally participate in personal evangelism.
3. Must excel in ministry commitment, conduct and professionalism – demonstrating a balance of confidence and humility.
4. Must be passionate about Children’s Ministry and the family.
5. Must be a team oriented person with the ability to work well in a multi-staff setting, working well independently as well as a part of a team.
6. Must have the ability to learn quickly and multi-task with high energy, strong interpersonal skills, and positive attitude.
7. Must be a gifted relational leader and a highly organized initiator and decision maker.
8. Must have the ability to quickly identify problems and find solutions that uphold Renovations vision and values.
9. Must be self motivated and flexible2. Must be computer literate – competent in basic computer software such as word, excel, power point, etc. Work Schedules: Part Time (20 hours) hourly
1. Sunday 7am – 2pm (attending one service)
2. Monday 9am – 12pm
3. Other Hours to be determined by the Children’s Ministry Director as coordinates best with the teams schedules.
