Answering Questions On Missional Community Groups

HOW WILL COMMUNITY GROUPS BE DIFFERENT AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 CRISIS?

There will be two types of groups, digital and in-person. Digital groups will meet online only. In-person groups meet as members are comfortable and practice social distancing (driveway socials, backyards, smaller groups in-doors, etc.).

WHAT IS A TYPICAL COMMUNITY GROUP MEETING SCHEDULE?

Groups meet weekly for one or two hours. Online only groups will meet for an hour.

HOW DO I JOIN A COMMUNITY GROUP?

Group registration happens online twice a year, in August and January. When it opens, you’ll have the opportunity to view group options and register for the group that best fits your schedule, mission interest, and area of town. After the initial sign-up, You can join a group at anytime by visiting the groups page and selecting a home.

THE GROUP I JOINED IS NO LONGER A GREAT FIT FOR ME. HOW DO I CHANGE GROUPS?

Please contact the groups director if you would like to make a change within your MCG. You’ll only be able to join a group that still has openings. If you cannot participate in a group this season, you can also contact the groups director to remove yourself from your group without joining a new one.

IS CHILDCARE PROVIDED DURING REGULAR GROUP MEETINGS?

Childcare arrangements are decided by the group, within the first week of gathering. Common solutions include a separate home near by with qualified individuals caring for the kids, establishing a fund pooled together to pay for baby sitting, and assigning a week internally for people within the group to provide childcare.
