I. Position Summary 
A. This Position exist to provide direction, leadership, and shepherding to Renovation’s Discipleship and Groups Ministries. 

II. Scope of Responsibility:
A. Lead a team in the development and growth of a strong group and discipleship ministry fostering community involvement and spiritual growth.
B. Function as overall leader of all small groups, discipleship groups and support groups.
C. Develop in-person and digital groups to reach every man, woman and child with the hope of Jesus. 
D. Develop and maintain an annual plan that ensures continuous improvement and growth of group involvement.
E. Implement regular leader and participant recruitment methods and processes ensuring a healthy group growth rate over time.
F. Foster a strong, active, growth and recruiting focused network of group leaders, group members, and individuals interested in becoming part of Renovation’s groups ministry.
G. Plan and execute regular group leader training and recognition events, ensuring the existence of a healthy body of group leaders upon which to grow a strong groups and discipleship ministry.
H. Identify, develop, and/or select group curriculum and other small group study materials and tools.
I. Develop the groups departmental budget and manage spending to budget.
J. Meet one-on-one with group leaders and coaches at least once a quarter. 
K. Responsible for all group information is current and accurate in CCB
L. Assist in the development and implementation of the Growth Track. 
M. Continue to develop and lead group volunteers, team leads and coaches through the volunteer track. 
N. Perform other duties as assigned

III. Leadership 
A. The Discipleship / Groups director reports to the Executive Pastor.

IV . Qualifications 
A. Has an active and personal relationship with Jesus Christ
B. Practices personal spiritual disciplines and leads with humility, character, and love
C. Personally engaged with Renovation Church’s mission, vision and strategy
D. Has a teachable spirit
E. Can develop and equip leaders
F. Is a team player 
G. At Least three years experience leading groups and ministry teams
H. A masters degree or higher is preferred 
I. Has an ability to multitask with a high attention to detail
J. Can communicate clearly and effectively through both verbal and written means.
K. Has an ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, volunteers, and attendees.
L. Has an ability to perform all the physical, intellectual, and analytical requirements of the position including decision making.
M. Has a willing spirit to help support each ministry within Renovation Church to the best of their ability.
